Fresh & Juicy Pakistani Citrus – A Taste of Nature’s Perfection
Introduction
At Shipeze Exim (SMC-Private) Ltd, we take pride in being among Pakistan’s trusted exporters of Mandarin (Kinnow) — a citrus treasure known for its sweetness, freshness, and nutritional richness.
Pakistan’s fertile soil and climate are exceptionally suited for cultivating Kinnow, making it one of the finest citrus-producing regions in the world.
About Kinnow
Kinnow belongs to the citrus family and is a hybrid of “King” and “Willow Leaf” mandarins, classified as Kinnow Mandarin. It stands out due to its unique flavor, bright orange color, and refreshing juice content.
Citrus fruits hold great importance for their distinct flavor, therapeutic value, and nutritional richness, being a natural source of Vitamins C, A, and B, along with essential minerals like Calcium, Phosphorus, and Iron.
Pakistan produces nearly 12% of the world’s citrus and stands among the top ten citrus-growing nations globally. Approximately 95% of the world’s Kinnow production is cultivated in Pakistan — primarily from the fertile plains of Punjab.
Nutritional Composition & Health Benefits
Kinnow Mandarins are an excellent source of:
Folic Acid: Important for healthy pregnancies and preventing neural tube defects.
β-Carotene: Enhances immune response and acts as a natural antioxidant.
Pectin: Aids digestion, controls cholesterol, and supports gut health.
Pectin, present in juice sacs and membranes, assists in:
Regulating glucose absorption
Maintaining cholesterol levels
Supporting colon health by absorbing carcinogens
Regular consumption of Kinnow offers both nutritional and preventive health benefits, making it a fruit of choice for consumers around the world.
Harvesting & Processing
Our Kinnows are handpicked directly from farms and pre-sorted on-site to ensure only the best fruits move to the processing facility.
At our modern plant:
Fruits are placed on sorting conveyors for visual inspection by skilled workers.
Clean, filtered water is sprayed to remove field dust and residue.
Fruits are then dried completely before wax coating.
To comply with HACCP international standards, we use imported fungicides (Thiabendazole and Imazalil) and food-grade wax to protect freshness and extend shelf life.
The waxing process is followed by controlled drying, grading, and packing to ensure consistent quality.
Packing & Cold Storage
Graded Mandarins are packed in 8kg, 10kg, or 13kg cartons (custom branding available).
Packed cartons are stored at +4°C in cold chambers to maintain freshness.
Finally, fruits are loaded in Reefer Containers for shipment to global destinations.
